The Gironde estuary is the largest in Europe offering a multitude of protected environments, natural havens rich in wildlife.

Scattered with unspoilt islands, its banks opening onto vineyards or historical sites, the estuary is the culmination of two major rivers on which we can offer a fascinating range of activities.

Along the Atlantic coast, behind its protective dunes, the network of streams and waterways has encouraged the development of freshwater lakes in the shelter of the Landes pine forest. Between the watersports centres and nature reserves, these form another special feature of the Aquitaine coast.
